I love a good musical. Who am I kidding, I love a bad musical, too. But I think I like musical surprises even more. I like it when there is a strange, full-on musical moment in a film that is otherwise not a musical. Like Britany Snow’s character, Bobby-Lynne, singing the entirety of “Landslide” in X (2022).
