Akira Toriyama (1955-2024)

Scheduled social media posts for the next two weeks, so I’m barely ahead. I’ve been dealing with a lot of personal stuff in the background, but sometimes that pushes me to accomplish things. And it wasn’t just Nostalgia Drop social media, but also CringeCinema.Club and SuperCoolGame.Club.

Plus, since March falls at the end of the week, here’s the March playlist!

Daily Drop Roundup

You can get daily drops in your socials wherever you live. First Facebook link is the the Nostalgia Drop page, and the second is to the group. The group is more fun.

Garbage Goat is a metal sculpture by Paula Mary Turnbull for the Spokane 1974 world fair. The sculpture eats garbage with a vacuum tube. It created a minor dust-up among goat farmers for perpetuating the myth that goats can eat anything.

In the future, it would become a time travel tool for hackerman in Kung Fury, which is probably a better legacy than it had in gaming.

Magicland Dizzy (1990) is a platformer about an egg-shaped dude whi solves puzzles to save his six friends.

Dirty Harry (1971)

Dirty Harry (1971) is one of Clint Eastwood’s most quoted roles, and probably the one he wishes people would stop quoting at him while he’s trying to do real life Clint Eastwood things.
