Episode Synopsis

As Tai travels along the train tracks in the train she obtained in Season 1, Episode 2 “Harvest of Doom” it is evident that she carries not only supplies, but people of the wastelands and animals to safety.

However, on the cliffs above, a mummy Wizard Janus and Hawkmen overlook the tracks. Janus casts a web to stop the train and has the Hawkmen attack the train.

They capture some of the people and grab Tai with their pincer weapons. Suddenly Thundarr, Ookla, and Ariel arrive on the scene and begin kicking Hawkman butt. They had followed their trail of raids to find them. As Thundarr beats up the Hawkmen who captured Tai, he realizes who she is and calls her a swamp urchin. She retorts that she has been using the train to do good ever since she helped them fight the Corocks.

She just wants to get moving. Thundarr grunts, “females” and shakes his head as he cuts through the web to let her pass.

Janus, angered that his Hawkmen have been thwarted, blasts the cliff wall to trigger an avalanche. Even though Tai wants to push through to make her schedule, Thundarr forces her to stop the train and reverse it before getting crushed to death.

Tai believes she could have made it, but the people believe they should turn back because Janus and the Hawkpeople are too dangerous. While Thundarr and Tai argue about opening the route, Ookla finds a comic book and begins laughing at the pictures in Slime Boy from Marble Comics.

They get back on the train and ride to where the landslide happened. Tai and the passengers must dig out the avalanche while Thundarr and crew go after Janus and the Hawkpeople. They lose the trail at a zoo, which also has a story-convenient car wash. Janus uses magic to make a chain in the carwash grab Ookla and Ariel. It draws them into the nefarious wash with brushes spinning.

Thundarr stupidly says that Janus will have to do better than that, so Janus zaps the water and turns it into fire. Thundarr should have shut his fool mouth.

Thundarr yells for him to come out from behind his wrappings, and Janus reveals himself to be Gemini seeking revenge!

Thundarr rushes in to fight the flames with his Sun Sword, which is, um, like attacking the darkness when it comes to intelligent attacks. Gemini doesn’t want Thundarr to be burned alive by such petty magic. He wants real revenge, so he extinguishes the flames. Thundarr cuts the chain holding Ookla and Ariel.

They rush to attack. Ariel wraps him in vines, but he disappears as Thundarr hacks at them to kill him. He turns to a floating magical face, threatening them and their friends. They rush back to Tai.

Thundarr tells Tai to turn back, but she will not. She’s taken care of herself for twelve summers…so I guess she’s either 12 or that’s how long she was a swamp urchin without a family…or how long she’s been on the train since S1E2. I’m unsure which. She’s not turning back, though, Thundarr be damned.

Gemini waits until the train is on a perilous bridge before he attacks, blasting stuff off of the train. Thundarr and crew try to remain on the train to protect it. Thundarr makes it to the side that is still going, but Ariel and Ookla could not make the jump so they are on the back half of the train. Wait, no. Ookla grabs Ariel and jumps to the other train with his strong Mok legs.

Gemini blasts the train in front of the engine and Tai reverses it, knocking Thundarr off the train. He catches on and she tells him sorry. She’s not sorry.

Gemini blasts the track behind them as well, trapping the train on a small part of the bridge, unable to move.

He has the Hawkpeople release a rush of acid into the ravine. It begins eating the trestle. Thundarr won’t be killed that easily, though. He rushes to where the rock was moved to release the acid, but needs both hands so he has to put his Sun Sword away. Gemini blasts his arm, encasing it in rock so he cannot get to his Sun Sword. He zaps Thundarr and levitates him to the Hawkpeople, who take him away. He blasts the cliffs and makes more holes for the acid to pour through.

Tai refuses to leave her engine, and Ariel gets an idea from the comic book. If they hurry, they can turn it into a walking machine. Ookla pulls up the rails and Ariel welds them to the engine. The trestle gives way and the train falls, but lands on its legs. Tai turns the train on the metal legs and heads off to find Thundarr.

In an abandoned bus station, Gemini calls forth rock men called the Silicoids. The Hawkpeople run scared from them. They pick up Thundarr and take him below with Gemini.

When Silicoids are hatched from rocks, they are weak, but dipping them into a pool under the bus station strengthens the rock. Dipping a human, though, would encase them in unbreakable rock forever. The Silicoids begin lowering him on a steel girder.

Ookla’s arrows seem to stun the Silicoids. Ariel goes one-on-one with Gemini. She zaps Thundarr and releases the magic from the Sun Sword. Thundarr rushes up the girder and attacks the Silicoids. He then knocks down the arch over the pool before being tackled by Gemini. Thundarr tosses him into the pool, where he is encased in stone forever.

Tai can fix the train, but Thundarr and Ookla have to haul it to the tracks first.
